Introduced in 1945 the Oyster Perpetual Datejust was the first wristwatch to feature a date display, clearly visible with a special magnifying Cyclops lens. This pre-owned Rolex is a 1991 model which includes the box. The official chronometer rating is given to this self winding movement housed in the 36mm steel case with 18ct white gold fluted bezel. A sapphire glass protects the silver dial. The watch is waterproof to 100m/330 feet. The Jubilee bracelet is a classic design and is made from stainless steel. Rolex use 904L steel as it is a super alloy with excellent anti allergenic properties. It is extremely tough and highly polishable, normally reserved for the chemical industry where maximum resistance against corrosion is essential.
