Meet the Team at Sharp & Sons Jewellers

Mr. Robert Sharp

One of the “& Sons” from the shop’s name, Robert runs our family owned independent jewellers. He personally undertakes our customers’ jewellery and watch repairs in our workshop on the premises, as well as designing and making handmade pieces of luxurious jewellery for sale in our shop. He is on hand to guide our customers through the design process to remodel old pieces of jewellery, or to make something new and bespoke. As he makes the jewellery himself, our customers are able to gain invaluable advice at the discussion and design stages as Robert is able to explain exactly what is possible and the best way in which to achieve our customers’ vision. As a registered member of the NAG Robert carries out our valuations for both insurance purposes and probate.

Shona is married to Robert and works in the shop on a part time basis. She has a background in administration and a gift for making customers feel welcome, and it is these skills and qualities which make her an invaluable part of Sharp & Sons.

Marrisa is our newest member of staff. Joining us during the Coronavirus pandemic has not been easy but with her adaptable manner and friendly nature she has quickly settled into our small team. Having previously worked in retail for over 13 years before joining Sharp and Sons, Marrisa has brought with her a wealth of experience in good customer service. Her efficiency and organisation are perfect skills needed for maintaining our window displays and all the cleaning needed to keep the jewellery sparkling. Her hardworking attitude and ability to make the customers feel at ease in store make her a welcome addition to the team.

Louise is Robert and Shona’s daughter and works in the shop on a temporary basis when she is home from university in the holidays. Louise is studying for a degree in Dance. She is very neat and organised and has an eye for good display.

Robert’s father, Mr. Sharp Senior, opened the doors of Sharp & Sons in 1983 and built it into the thriving establishment that it is today. John retired from the business in 2014 and sadly passed away in 2017.
