This Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Co-Axial features an black unidirectional rotating bezel, black dial with luminous batons and silver numbers and a date indicator display at the 3 o’clock position. This is the 126.96.36.199.01.001 model with box dating from circa 2012. The watch has Omega service papers from 2015 and February 2020.
The 42mm stainless steel cases houses an Omega 8500 calibre self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. The free sprung balance has two barrels mounted in series with automatic winding in both directions. The bridges and oscillating mass are decorated with exclusive Geneva waves in arabesque. This Master Chronometer has a 60 hour power reserve. It is in full working order. The transparent case back to the watch allows the movement to be seen.
The watch comes with the original Omega box including outer, instructions, swing ticket, Omega service papers from 2015 and February 2020. The watch comes with the remaining balance of the 24 month manufacturers warranty.
Case Condition: Very Good with light scratches and minor mark to the bezel. Bracelet, Dial and Glass condition all Excellent with hardly any noticeable marks. The movement is in full working order. Will fit a wrist size up to 205mm.
This iconic Omega Seamaster model was the watch worn by James Bond in the film ‘Skyfall’ The first outing for Omega as a watch worn by 007 James Bond was in 1995 and James Bond has worn an Omega ever since.
The Seamaster collection to which this watch belongs pays tribute to the maritime heritage of the Omega brand and the Planet Ocean models were launched in 2005. The watch is waterproof to a depth of 600m (2000 feet), has a helium escape valve for long periods spent underwater and a revolving bezel that can only rotate anti-clockwise for reliable checking of dive and decompression times. The watch has a screw-in crown that screws directly into the case, providing reliable water resistance that a divers watch needs. The watch has a transparent case back giving a good view of the Omega Co-Axial 8500 calibre movement. The watch has a domed scratch-resistant crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides, a highly durable cover over the dial. The solid link stainless steel bracelet has a push button release fold over clasp which has a divers extension to the bracelet, useful when wearing over a wetsuit. This watch is certified as a Master Chronometer, a watch whose movement has obtained an official rate certificate from the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute) after having passed precision tests in different positions and at different temperatures. These tests are conducted over a 15-day period.
