Tudor was established by Hans Wildorf, the founder of Rolex, in 1926, as a watch with all the style and quality of its Rolex sibling but at a more accessible price point. The Tudor watches originally had ‘off the shelf’ movements, coupled with the Rolex cases and bracelets, providing reliability and dependability of Rolex watches but at a cheaper price.

The glamour collection of Tudor watches is a wide ranging collection of elegant watches with retro qualities and this model with the famed double date function is part of this. The design of the collection is striking yet stays true to the qualities of quality and precision associated with the brand.

This pre-owned 2020 model has a MT5641 calibre self winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It has a 42mm polished stainless steel case with an open sapphire back to show the self winding movement. The bracelet is five row stainless steel and 18ct gold, with polished centre links. The fold over safety clasp to the bracelet has the TUDOR shield symbol, synonymous with the band that first appeared on the watch dials in the 1940’s.  The watch bezel is a stainless steel and yellow gold double bezel with a polished finish. It surrounds the champagne coloured diamond dot dial with yellow gold plated hour markers and 11 diamonds. There is a small seconds chronograph at the 6 o’clock position and the famed double date window at the 12 o’clock position. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal and it has a yellow gold screw-down winding crown with the TUDOR logo. The watch is waterproof to a depth of 300m (1000 feet).  This is a lovely dress watch in immaculate condition which would look good on any wrist.
