These are lovely amber and diamond earrings. The rich fiery orange brown amber is set to the centre of each earring. Amber has been used in jewellery manufacture dating back to neolithic times and is actually formed from tree resin rather than being a gemstone. A twisted wreath like pattern in 9ct yellow gold surrounds the central amber and the gold’s colour compliments the amber. Each earring is set with 6 diamonds that surround the amber and also form part of the wreath pattern. The back of the earrings has a 9ct yellow gold post with butterfly fastening.  To give an idea of scale each earring measures approximately 12mm x 15mm.
