This Omega Seamaster Professional 300m Chronometer features a blue unidirectional rotating bezel, blue guilloche wave dial with luminous dots and batons, and a date indicator display at the 3 o’clock position. This is the 2551.80.00 model with box and papers dated 2002. It measures 36.25mm and is often referred to as mid-size.

The 36.25mm stainless steel cases houses an Omega 1120 calibre automatic movement with a rhodium plated finish. This self-winding chronometer has a 44 hour power reserve. It is in full working order.

The watch comes with the original Omega box, Omega instruction booklet, Omega chronometer authenticity card, warranty card dated 2002 with an Omega leatherette document holder, original UK receipt from 2002, Omega service papers from February 2024 and has the remainder of the 2-year service warranty.

Case Condition: Excellent with no noticeable marks. Bracelet Condition: Excellent with only the lightest scratches to the clasp.  Dial and Glass condition all Excellent. The movement is in full working order. Will fit a wrist size up to 185mm.

This Omega with a blue wave dial is a desirable model. Add to this the excellent condition and all the paperwork for the model and the demand for this watch in the second-hand market becomes incredibly strong.

The Seamaster collection to which this watch belongs pays tribute to the maritime heritage of the Omega brand. The watch is waterproof to a depth of 300m (1000 feet), has a helium escape valve for long periods spent underwater and a revolving bezel that can only rotate anti-clockwise for reliable checking of dive and decompression times. The watch has a screw-in crown that screws directly into the case, providing reliable water resistance that a divers watch needs. The watch has a domed scratch-resistant crystal with an anti-reflective treatment, a highly durable cover over the dial. The solid link bracelet has a push button release fold over clasp which has a divers extension to the bracelet, useful when wearing over a wetsuit. This watch is classified as a chronometer, a watch whose movement has obtained an official rate certificate from the COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute) after having passed precision tests in different positions and at different temperatures. These tests are conducted over a 15-day period.

The model dates back from 1999 and is a smaller version of the blue dial 41mm Seamaster which was subsequently produced. This is a fantastic pre-owned Omega with all of its provenance and as it has been serviced this year by Omega it further adds to the desirability.
