These striking amethyst and white sapphire earrings are set with a stem and butterfly fastener. The central purple amethyst is teardrop in shape and is set securely by a rubbed edge setting. It is surrounded by five white sapphires, three set in the 14ct yellow gold to the bottom of the teardrop and two further stones set above the teardrop in leaf shaped gold. The rich contrast in colours between the stones and the gold give that striking sumptuous appearance. The yellow gold stem and butterfly fastener provides a firm and secure, yet comfortable fit. To give an idea of scale each earring measures approximately 12mm x 9.5mm.
