This 18ct yellow gold ring is a stunning example. It has a classic boat shaped design with a carved and intricate claw setting and sits low on the finger when worn. Set into the ring are five graduated old mine cut diamonds, with an approximate weight of 2.06ct over the five graduated stones. The ring is Victorian and this design was an extremely popular style when the ring was made. The old mine cut stones are so named as coming from the old diamond mines of India and in those mines these precious stones would have been measured by eye and cut and polished by hand. They have a smaller table to them and soft curved edges. They were cut to look at their most sparkling under candlelight. To give some idea of scale the head measures approximately 20.5mm x 6mm.  UK size O, this ring can easily be resized in the workshop on our premises.
