The craftsmanship that has been used to make this brooch is fantastic. From the Victorian era, the brooch has 55 seed pearls that are graduated in size and they radiate out in a flower head design from a central seven pearl cluster. The pearls are set in 15ct gold, which has a lovely rich colour, a perfect contrast to the creamy pearls.  The brooch has a pendant loop to the back of it, to allow the brooch to be worn on a chain as a pendant. It also has a safety pin style safety chain and weighs 8.4g. To give an idea of scale, it measures 29 x 29mm at its widest points.
